Designed on the award winning Magnetar QX2, the QX3 has been upgraded to support the next generation of Intel Xeon processors. The Xeon 5400 series delivers higher performance per watt thanks to refinements and enhancements to the Core 2 architecture and a move to a more energy efficent 45nm production process. The Magnetar QX3 is also equipped with the Intel 5400 chipset, which provides double speed PCIe 2.0 expansion slots, supported by up coming graphics accelerators and adapter cards. The new PCIe 2.0 expansion bus retains full compatibility for existing PCI Express cards.

If you require a workstation with faster processors, the Magnetar™ QXR3 is also available.
