The 7046GT-GRF is a totally custom designed Supercomputing powerhouse from Supermicro. Working closely with NVIDIA this system is the only solution designed to properly support 4 x TESLA C1000/C2000 cards with ample cooling and no compromise in features. Powered by Dual Intel® Xeon® 55/5600 series processors and dual Intel 5520 chipsets, it features an extended width motherboard supporting 9 expansion slots, including 6 x PCI-Express v2.0 full size slots, with 4 being full Gen2 x16 lanes with extra spacing between TESLA cards for optimal cooling. In order to achieve this Supermicro has designed a custom 11-slot backplane chassis. With on-board Graphics, HD Audio and IPMI 2.0 with dedicated LAN onboard, this system is equally at home as a 4U rack mounted server configuration or low noise workstation. The total solution makes this one of the worlds most powerful and versatile Workstation or GPU Supercomputing available.
